Whole Wheat Bread

Ingredients
- 2 cups Warm water
- 2 tablespoons Agave syrup or Maple syrup or any liquid sweetener of choice
- Active dry yeast 1 ½ teaspoons
- Whole wheat flour 3 ½ cups
- Rock salt 1 ¼ teaspoon
Method
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the warm water and liquid sweetener.
- Sprinkle the yeast over the warm water and allow it to sit for 10 minutes until the yeast starts to activate and become foamy.
- Add in the salt to the whole wheat flour and mix everything together with the activated yeast until a sticky dough forms. Mix the dough vigorously for a minute. Cover the dough and let it sit in a warm place for about 1 ½ hours or until it doubles in size.
- Cut out some parchment paper to line your bread loaf pan and keep aside.
- Take out the dough and gently punch it a few times to deflate it and then place it in a bread pan. Spread the dough evenly in the pan.
- Let the dough rise for about 40 minutes or until almost the size you need your bread to be.
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Bake the bread for 40-45 minutes.
- Let the loaf cool in the pan for 30 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to finish cooling. Slice and enjoy.
