Juices
Carrot Juice - ( Serves 2 )
Ingredients
- 5 medium carrots or 2 large - peeled and chopped
- 1 large apple- chopped
- 1/2 inch ginger
- 1/2 lemon- juice
Method
- Juice the carrots, apple and ginger together.
- Add the lemon juice and serve.
- (If using a blender, sieve the pulp to get the juice).
Watermelon juice - ( Serves 2 )
Ingredients
- 4 cups watermelon- seedless and chopped
- 2 tablespoons mint leaves - chopped
- ½ cucumber- chopped
Method
- Juice the watermelon, cucumber and mint leaves together using a juicer and serve. (If using a blender, sieve the pulp to get the juice).
Green Juice - -( Serves 2 )
Ingredients
- 4 cups spinach- chopped
- 1 cucumber- chopped
- 4 sticks of celery- chopped
- 2 cups green apples- chopped
- 1 inch ginger
Method
- Juice all ingredients together and serve.
Pineapple juice - ( Serves 2 )
Ingredients
- 4 cups pineapple- chopped
- 1 large orange- deseeded
- ½ cup water
- 1 inch ginger
Method
- Juice the pineapples, orange and ginger together. (If using a blender - will need to strain after blending)
- Add water and mix
Ash Gourd (Winter melon/ White Gourd) Juice
Ingredients
- King of all juices Ash gourd is the best detoxifying vegetable in nature. It absorbs all toxins and helps eliminate them from the body. It is like a sponge in the digestive system. It is the most natural energizing food due to its highest energy quotient.
- Ash gourd can be found in Indian and Asian stores.
- Ash gourd (Ash gourd is a large vegetable- Cut out as much required and peel off the skin and remove the soft seeds in the middle)
- Store the rest for next use.
- Cut it into pieces and juice it.
- Optionally you may add cilantro with it to juice.
- Drink 1 glass- 400 ml of this juice everyday in the morning on an empty stomach. This juice should be freshly prepared daily. Do not let the juice sit out for long hours. The juice like any other juice should be sipped in slowly.
Orange juice - ( Serves 2 )
Ingredients
- 8 large oranges- remove seeds
- 8 Mint leaves
- 1 inch ginger
- ½ cup water
- Pinch of pink salt
Method
- Juice the oranges, ginger together. (If using a blender - will need to strain after blending)
- Add water and mix.
- Add pink salt and mix.
- Garnish with mint and serve.
